In a significant stride towards fostering holistic well-being and improving community healthcare, Covenant University is proud to announce the commissioning of a renovation project for the Iju Community Health Center which was in a pitiable state. The project was spearheaded and implemented by the Covenant University Community Impact Initiative Committee (CU-CDIIC) to mark the birthday of our Mother in the Faith and Chancellor’s wife – Pastor Faith Abiola Oyedepo.

The Health Center was fully renovated in 2022 and Commissioned May 20 2023. The Vice Chancellor Covenant University headed the commissioning with a team of CDIIC members led by the Chair of the Committee – Dr. Tayo George. Others in Attendance were the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Chairman – Honorable Engr. Sheriff Musa, the Baale of the community and his team, as well as other stakeholders and community members.

This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to the overall welfare of the community, bridging the gap between academia and public health. With the goal of providing comprehensive and accessible healthcare services, this renovation project aims to transform the center into a state-of-the-art facility that will serve as a beacon of hope and empowerment for residents in the surrounding areas.
